Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of awards, including two Golden Globe Awards, and 16 NAACP Image Awards. Her work has been recognized for film and television since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett originates born in New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett, her sister, and their mother moved from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father had split from the mother of their children. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in high school, and realised that she was an actor and would like to be doing. In 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they were married. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading characters as Ramonda in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
